Xj 99+ Intake Manifold. the intake manifold on the jeep 4.0l is generally the same between all models including the cherokee xj, grand cherokee wj and wrangler tj from 1999 to 2006. I would like to make sure i have this parts list correct. intake modification (remove grille snorkel thing, cut out front of airbox and removed restrictor) the only change was to. i swapped in the intake from a 00 grand cherokee, k&n cold air intake, rustys throttle body spacer, apn header, napa head pipe, magnaflow cat, rustys cat. I haven't really been able. No other mods are needed to make it work. the 99+ intake uses equal length runners and is just more effeicient than the older design intake. If i am missing anything, could some one point it out? i currently have a 1998 xj with 4 hole injectors, 62mm bbk tb, cowl cold air intake , header, along with a new cat and magnaflow. there was a jpmagazine article that debunked all of the cheap horsepower 4.0 mods ands the 99+ intake swap was one of.
